Miles reaction to seeing Kiara for the first time in years isn't very friendly. But as she sticks around looking things get quite interesting. Unfortunately Kiara finds herself in an unfortunate situation. Luckily Miles and friends come to the rescue.I absolutely loved the ending. A fast fun read that only takes about an hour to read so perfect for when you are short on time. Fifteen years earlier Miles walked away from his family and the young woman he loved when his family tried to force him to work in the family business. Kiara had her heart broken by him but now she wants answers and she tracks him down. But he is a totally different person hard from his time in the military. Can she break through his walls and cn they get a HEA this time You will have to read to see.

Had potential but wrapped up too soon. While I understand why Miles left I think he should have stayed long enough to explain his reasons. Being away for a few years is one thing, but I can’t imagine this sense of pressure he felt from his parents to avoid them for 15 years and to still be in love with our heroine for the same amount of time. She shows up demanding an explanation… I can’t see either of them rekindling that deep love in such a short amount of time.

Loved this story, Miles has grown into a very hard core man, feeling he doesn't deserve his girlfriend from his past. So many demons in his past, yet he and his partners are very much involved in different things as jobs. Now dealing with his past and his present, where will things lead. Great story. I’ll be honest at first I wasn’t sure about the book but after the first chapter I could not put it down. This is an amazing story between an ex-military man (Miles) and the women he left behind (Kiara) who decides to show back up on his doorstep and from there things get even more interesting. This book is an amazing romance with great background and character development and I really felt that I could connect with the characters and get sucked into the story.
